The Big Biscuit Kicks Off Second Annual “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive

Stuff the Bus to support local schools

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KAN. — July 7, 2025 — The Big Biscuit® is proud to announce the return of its Stuff The Bus initiative for a second year to collect new school supplies, aiming to help local students and schools start the 2025 school year ready to succeed.

The All-American Breakfast and Lunch concept is known for its impossibly generous portions served with genuine hometown hospitality, and community initiatives that fit its philanthropic pillars of food insecurity, community, and public education.

From July 14  through August 17, guests are invited to drop off new and unused school supplies at their nearest Big Biscuit location across Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. All donations will go directly to the local school district in that community.

“We were blown away by the community response for our first brand-wide Stuff The Bus in 2024,” says President and Co-CEO of The Big Biscuit, Chad Offerdahl. “We donated hundreds of school supplies to over 20 districts thanks to our generous guests and partners. We’re looking forward to making an even bigger impact this year!”

Donations can be dropped off at any Big Biscuit location during regular business hours, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Needed donation items include:

  • Pencils, pens, and markers

  • Notebooks, construction paper, and binders

  • Backpacks, lunch boxes, and pencil bags

  • Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer

Stuff Your Face

In addition to each location collecting supplies, The Big Biscuit will host its Stuff Your Face: Breakfast Eating Contest on Saturday, July 26, at its Westport location in Kansas City, Missouri. Contestants will go head-to-head in a high-energy competition to see who can finish The Big Biscuit’s most intimidating dish: the 3 Car Pile Up. The famously massive dish includes a plate-sized pancake covered with three scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar, and breakfast potatoes, then topped with hash browns, two buttermilk biscuits, and ladles of sausage gravy. The winner will receive free Big Biscuit for a year, a $300 value.

Those interested in participating must complete the sign-up form by Wednesday, July 16. Participants and community members are encouraged to bring donations for Stuff The Bus.

“We’re excited to bring the community together with something engaging and meaningful,” said Offerdahl. “We’re proud to support our local schools while having a little fun with it!”

Event Highlights Include:

  • Live breakfast eating competition

  • Prizes for top competitors

  • School supply drop-off

All are welcome to attend and cheer on the competitors.
