The Big Biscuit is celebrating a BIG milestone—the opening of its 30th location in Wichita, Kansas!
This new breakfast restaurant in Wichita marks another exciting step in The Big Biscuit franchise expansion across the Midwest. It is the first of four corporate-owned Big Biscuit locations planned for the Wichita market. Additional sites—including 106 South Hydraulic Avenue, 7777 E. 21st St. N, and 1906 N. Rock Road in Derby, will further establish The Big Biscuit’s Kansas footprint.
The new Big Biscuit Wichita restaurant will be corporate-owned and locally operated, with ongoing support from President & CEO Chad Offerdahl and VP of Operations Scott Jayne. Together, they’re focused on delivering the brand’s signature combination of all-American breakfast and lunch favorites, generous portions, and genuine hometown hospitality to Guests across the region.

The Big Biscuit’s story began 25 years ago as a single neighborhood breakfast spot in Independence, Missouri. In 2010, Chad and his father, David Offerdahl, acquired the concept after visiting the original location and falling in love with its classic menu and welcoming atmosphere.
Since then, The Big Biscuit has grown through a combination of strategic growth and franchising opportunities, always staying true to its values of hospitality, quality, and community connection.
Today, with 30 Big Biscuit locations across Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, the brand continues to build momentum through new openings, refreshed menus, and operational excellence.
This year marks both the brand’s 25th anniversary celebration and the debut of its largest menu refresh in over five years, featuring new favorites like Chicken Biscuits, cherry-picked beverages, and creative takes on Chicken & Waffles and Country Grits, solidifying its reputation as a leading breakfast and lunch franchise in the region.
